Biography
The Sunshine Coast Health Institute (SCHI) is a collaboration between Sunshine Coast Health, the University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC), Griffth University (GU) and TAFE QLD that brings together the best minds in healthcare, education, and research. Together, SCHI delivers the education and training to grow and develop future health workforce; whilst driving clinical and health related research that translates the future of healthcare delivery; locally, national, and internationally.
Service Offering
Education & Training: Integrated undergraduate, postgraduate, and vocational programs enriched by real-world clinical experience and interprofessional learning.
Clinical Simulation & Skills Development: high-fidelity training environments that replicate hospital and community care settings.
Research & Translation: Collaborative research and innovation advancing evidence-based care and new models of care health delivery.
Clinical Placements & Workforce Development: Seamless integration of learning and practice to strengthen the current and future health workforce.
Facilities & Collaboration Spaces: PC2 research laboratories with clinical trials capability and shared hubs including a 360-seat auditorium, lecture theatres and multipurpose teaching spaces designed to foster innovation and connection across disciplines.
